MACADEMY is a symbol of academic excellence in Brooklyn for over 20 years. It has struggled through its formative years of tears and joys, fears and hopes to become an Institution that provides its students with a comprehensive learning environment that encourages academix excellence, ELearning, social competence, and a total commitment to Parents and Community.

At MACADEMY, Students are encouraged to be inventors and to focus on innovative, scientific and technological ideas that propels them to their future as scientists and technology experts. Our annual Science Fair at MACADEMY advocates such a purpose for our young scientists to present their ideas and begin their journey in their scientific fields.

Science: The mission of the science program is the pursuit of knowledge about the world in which we live. Throught the process of observation, we take in information about our world. Through continuous and systematic observation, we begin to hypothesize about and classify observed phenomena so that we may better understand our universe. Science is not only the process of gaining knowledge, it is also the knowledge obtained from that process. (Core Knowledge)

Technology: The mission of the technology program refers to the making, modification, usage, and knowledge of tools, machines, techniques, crafts, systems, and methods of organization, in order to solve a problem, improve a preexisting solution to a problem, achieve a goal, handle an applied input/output relation or perform a specific function. It can also refer to the collection of such tools, including machinery, modifications, arrangements and procedures.

Technologies significantly affect human as well as other animal species' ability to control and adapt to their natural environments. The term can either be applied generally or to specific areas: examples include construction technology, medical technology, and information technology. (Encyclopedia)

Engineering: The mission of the engineering program is the application of scientific, economic, social, and practical knowledge in order to design, build, and maintain structures, machines, devices, systems, materials and processes. The discipline of engineering is extremely broad, and encompasses a range of more specialized fields of engineering, each with a more specific emphasis on particular areas of technology and types of application. (Encyclopedia)

"Preparing Children Today, To Be Global Leaders Tomorrow."

"MACADEMY is a prestigious Independent School preparing Children Today to be Global Leaders Tomorrow."

This Institution in its Ideal and Philosophies transcends:

1. Basic education satisfaction
2. Personal education aggrandizement
3. Professional education gratification to embrace the wisdom of the metamorphisis that determines “purpose”.

To find one’s purpose means being a gatekeeper of the Legacy. This centralized focus on “purpose” results in the expansion of great minds, the development of master consciousness and concludes in divine accomplishments. Scholarly geniuses at MACADEMY are challenged to fulfill their purpose rather than obtaining education for profession. Students at MACADEMY are also prepared to identify their purpose. They are empowered and encouraged on how to assess their worth and connect that to their contributions and accomplishments for the advance future of humanity. To be driven by “purpose” claims spiritual awareness, which means knowing the purpose to which one is called. Many of the world’s greatest leaders whose contributions and achievements are known in the global community are or were driven by their “purpose”. A purpose driven education is a wise choice.

Moral Development

Moral development is also a primary objective at MACADEMY. Students are exposed to the topics and techniques of decision making, conflict resolution and accountability. Students are taught to give their best because of our emphasis on good manners, diligence, respect, self-discipline, integrity and compassion.

Safety and Discipline

Staff and parents have worked together to create and maintain a very high expectation for students’ behavior. No sexist, racist or bullying behavior is tolerated. Student feels safe and protected. There is no easy access to strangers. The environment is clean and the playground equipment meets safety codes. At MACADEMY, Staff demands the ability to exercise authority without restriction or shouting at our geniuses.

Teachers

We have Teachers who make MACADEMY truly special. We understand that the core of any great school must include the teaching faculty. Having a high standard, pursuing excellence,  exhibiting concern for each student and maintaining the highest level of student engagement reflects the numerous goals that comprise our first class faculty. Staff members are encouraged to continue their development as professionals in the field of education. At MACADEMY, we work diligently to fulfill this motto, "The best teacher is one who makes you want to learn."
