As educators, our number one priority is the safety of the children in our care. We want to make sure that our transition back into in-person learning means that your children will be in the safest hands possible. Here are the safety measures and protocols that we’ll be taking as we welcome our students back!

 

Face Masks All staff and students are required to wear masks at all times. Parents are required to provide their child(ren) with medical grade masks. MACADEMY is permitted to provide 2 masks per child per week in cases of emergency only. If a student does not have a mask, he/she will not be permitted to enter the building. Screeners and screened individuals (except for children two years of age and under) must wear face coverings if they can medically tolerate them.

 

Sanitization Hand sanitizers are available in all classrooms.

 

Screening/ Temperature Checks Temperature/ health checks (via non-contact infrared thermometer) will be conducted prior to each child and staff member’s entry into the building. Parents, guardians, escorts, and/or van drivers cannot leave a child in our care until the check is complete and the child is cleared to enter the building. Students seeking entry must maintain at least 3 - 6 feet of distance from others while awaiting screening.

 

Hand Sanitizing Proper hand washing techniques will be implemented and encouraged. There will be hand sanitizing stations (touch-free and pumps) placed in convenient locations, such as at building entrance, exits, offices and classrooms. In addition, touch-free soap dispensers have been installed in all bathrooms.

 

Air Circulation  All windows will be open in classrooms and air conditioners, HEPA air purifiers, and window fans will be used to promote proper air flow and circulation.

 

Classroom The classrooms, desks, chairs, knobs, light switches, etc. will be sanitized throughout the day. Classrooms will also be thoroughly sanitized at the end of each day utilizing CDC-approved cleaning agents.

 

Social Distancing  Students will practice social distancing and wear masks at all times. All desks and seats will be set at least 3 - 6 feet apart.
